Over the last few years digital camera technology, ease-of-use, and reasonable prices have advanced to the point where even amateurs or so-called "parent" photographers are getting more serious about their shooting.

Admittedly, most of their photos do not have the "wow" factor associated with what a professional photographer can take and certainly not with the frequency of a pro. In fact, getting those great shots, those "WOW"" photos, especially with any regularity, escapes most amateurs. Because it's not just about aiming at the action and pushing the shutter. Truth be told, it takes quite a bit of experience and training. And pro cameras with features such as high speed shutters and image stabilization, help the pro reach nirvana. But there's still much more to know in action photography. And then, of course, there's portrait photography for shooting teams and individual athletes. and if you think it's just about putting kids in rows with the tallest kid in the middle of each row, then you still have a lot to learn. But now you can get experience shooting sports photography like a pro.

As a participant in our training program, we will take you to tournaments and championships sports events and, under the guidance of a pro, you'll learn the tips, tricks, and techniques that we use to capture great action photography. For the advanced or professional photographer wanting to go into the sports photography business, we'll save you thousands upon thousands of dollars in time and expense to get you to where you want to go and reap the benefits of our years of experience in what to do and what not to do.

1. ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY - You'll learn the mechanics of action shooting in a variety of sports, white balancing, panning, depth of field, overcoming background detritus, strobe lighting for indoor events and how to use them, wireless shooting, what's the best lenses, best positions, best positions of players, auxillary equipment, plus shooting etiquette, safety, insurance, copyrights, and a ton more. Minimum four hours rate $300 for onsite action sports training. You can also buy a package of learning experience by booking for three different days (12 hours total) of action photography plus support for $750.00 and save yourself a bundle.

2. TEAM & INDIVIDUAL (T&I) PHOTOGRAPHY - You'll be shown how to shoot team and individual sports photos both indoor and outdoor and the art of event photography for youth sports teams and organizations. Learn how to get the job, what percentage to give to the league or school, the ideal camera and lighting to use, on-camera flash, traditional and creative posing, white balancing, where the sun should be, strobe lighting with umbrellas and softboxes, camera tethering and necessary software, setting up T&I workstations, processing kids on the field, event equipment, the paperwork, marketing, products to sell, retakes, dealing with parents, and all the other intricacies of handling small or large team and individual photo shoots. $900 per day (6 hours) plus support. For green/blue screen photography, add $250.

3. SPORTS PORTRAITURE (In-studio) - Want to learn how to take fantastic sports portraits? Then this course is for you. You'll learn how to come up with great poses and the use of props, how to talk to your subject, learn to use power packs, monolights, softboxes, reflectors, panels, gobos, stands, gels, the right lenses to achieve certain effects, hair lighting, back lighting, full body shots, partial body and head shots, how to overcome reflective uniforms, shooting on location, how to create dramatic black and white images, sepia tones, and learn the art of air brushing and skin tone correction, how and where to buy equipment, money saving buying tips, unique sports poses and dramatic lighting that make your work stand out among others, what angles to shoot, which lights will give you the effect you're looking for, color corrected lights, recycle times, flash duration for stopping action, single and multiple lights, bouncing and reflecting light, how to read and use a flash meter, metering for different light intensities, outdoor shots, on-locations protocol and permits, and much more. $750 for 4 hours of training and support.

4. GREEN SCREEN PHOTOGRAPHY - You learn how to use both green and blue screen for a variety of photography shoots, the difference between chromakey and digital key, how to light the screens, what to avoid when lighting, the most common mistakes made in attempting to light green screen, including the best screens to use, lengths required, flooring, how to use the software, compositing photos, virtual backgrounds, strobe lighting, umbrellas and softboxes, techniques for posing groups and individuals, props, and much of the tecniques in Sports Portraiture. $550 plus support.

5. VIEWING STATIONS - For experienced photographers who wish to learn about the technical aspects and mechanics of onsite viewing stations, networking, sofware, equipment, marketing, onsite customer service, the right choice of printer and onsite printing operations, we offer a 2-day program for $2500.
