Creating a great image starts at getting the right shot and getting the shot right. Afterwhich we can present the customer with a "right out of the camera" image or something that has been given some special love in the post-processing of the image that might entail enriching the colors, sharpening, softening, shading, and so forth. Post-processing then, can make even a great photo pop! When these photos are then embedded in custom-designed posters and other photo products, the result can be simply astonishing. Below are just a few examples of the many poster designs and products we offer our customers.
Action Photos Stick-On Wall Photos
Standard Posters (for Individuals and Teams) Using any portrait or action photo, or even candid shots done "off field" or at your practices or rehearsals, or any combination of these, we can "drop in" your image(s) to build an elegant customized poster that will provide you with a lifetime of memories of your young athlete doing what they love to do. This is a generic template (we have several) that we use for a variety of different sports. The image or images of the performer are integrated into the design and colors adjusted to compliment those in the athlete's clothing. The team or school mascot or logo can be added along with the name of the athlete or performer. Rates are as follows (add $7.99 for each additional image in the poster design): 16 x 20 inch $79 Prices include one image, artwork, premium paper, shipping and handling, packaging materials, labor, and postage. Allow 2 weeks for delivery, sometimes longer around holidays. Double thick backing board is $15 and alligator foam core backing is $25.

Pano and Mini-Pano Posters (for Teams and Groups Only) Pano and Mini-Pano posters get their name from their panoramic-like measurements and are great for showcasing your entire team or group. We offer a variety of designs from our lab and our own in-house graphic designer. Panos and Mini-Panos can be created from photos taken during Picture Day, from competitions, or Private Portrait sessions. The text you see on these examples is obviously not the same you would receive on your Pano Poster. You can have anything written on it you like. Most customers just have their school, club or gym name at the top. Prices are as follows: 1 Pano Poster - $69 / 1 Mini-Pano $39 5 to 12 posters of the same design - 10% off When 13 to 25 posters same design - 15% off When 26 to 35 posters of the same design - 20% off Special discounts can be arranged for large orders over 35 posters or for large leagues or gyms. There is a $50 setup fee for each design. If you would like your poster mounted on double weight board, add $15. For alligator board, add $25 per poster. Shipping charges are $8 for unmounted and $12 for mounted posters.

Unique Collage Posters (for Individuals and Teams) Our other posters are our famous Unique Collage Posters (see below) done for both individuals and teams. And they are just that, unique and custom-made, created specifically for your individual athlete/performer or group from one or more combinations of portrait, live action or simulated action, or candid poses and printed on a special premium metallic (pearlescent) paper. No two posters are alike. These posters are several steps above all the others we do. The primary difference with these and the others that we do is the work that goes into these special posters. At the shoot, we like to get as many different poses as we can as you can see below. Then there's the detailed post-processing work we do in the lab to get the special effects we want. Finally, all the elements are blended together to create a very unique portraiture of your young athlete or performer.

The following questions and answers primarily concerns those wishing to have Unique Posters made of their child, team, or league. Is the photography session included in the price of the poster? If a coach, league, or school books us for the Unique Poster shoot, a special discounted sitting fee can be arranged depending on yhe number of kids you want photographed. If a parent hires us to do a Private Portrait Session of their athlete or performer, with the goal of creating a Unique Poster, there is a $79 non-refundable sitting fee whether you ultimately purchase photos or not or use them in the creation of a Unique Poster. Your $79 sitting fee entiltes you to a 1/2 hour session of arranging the set for your requirements, the actual photographing, and getting different poses or change outs. How do we go about getting the photos taken for the Unique Poster? Coaches, athletic diectors, parents or anyone else can call or email us (480 994-4633 / info@azsportshots.com) to make arrangments for a Unique Poster Session. At the time you schedule a session we can discuss what you would like in your poster and we'll provide you with information on how your session will be done. You can also just leave it up to us to produce something wonderful. What if I have to cancel our photo session and reschedule for another date? If you cancel your appointment more than 72 hours in advance of your appointment than $50 of your sitting fee can be applied to your rescheduled session. You'll owe only $24 for the second scheduled session. If you cancel your appointment less than 72 hours in advance of your appointment than you'll have to pay another $79 to reschedule. Do you have a studio where the photography is done? Photos for Unique Posters, or any of our photography for that matter, can be done anywhere including your school, or gym, or even your home, but we also have a complete, 3,500 sq. ft. full service photographic studio that can easily accommodate individuals and large or multiple teams. Can we book you for a location session? Yes. These can be done for almost any location depending on your preference and the requirements of the shoot. Some photos are even done on a playing field or at a gym. But keep in mind that for many of the posters you see here, specialized equipment was used such as large fans, smoke-making machines, trampolines, and so forth. All of this gear is much too difficult to transport to your home or gym. All other Picture Day team and individual photos that we do can be done at your field, studio, gym, school, or what have you. Who selects the photos for the Unique Poster? You do, plus we select a few extras to allow for design wiggle room. What kind of clothing can I bring? Anything you want. We have done basketball teams wearing street clothes while holding several basketballs (see above photo) and a female volleyball player weasring a formal gown standing on a court holding a volleyball with the net in the background. So if you want a shot or two of your athlete in street or dress cloths, or a lettermans jacket or sweater, be sure to bring those with you. How about props? You provide the bats, balls, mits, uniforms, shoes, rackets, etc. What kind of poses can I expect? You can look over the photos below to see the wide variety of poses we have used includng the different background poses in each poster. My child is involved in football, baseball, and basketball. Can I have a poster made with him showing all three of these sports? Absolutely. Here's a few examples of multiple sports combined into a single design. Note: The text that was on some of these posters shown below has been left out so you can see the photos and the design compositing more clearly.

What are the prices for the posters themselves? Prices depend on your selection of design elements, number of images, and poster size and whether this is for an individual or an entire team/squad and the quantity you order. Keep in mind that for teams/groups there is minimum order required of 5 posters. There is a 5% discount for ten or more group orders of the same poster design. 16 x 20 inch $159 and up Includes 1-2 images, premium paper, all text and special effects. There is an added charge of $10 for each additional strong and recognizable image in the poster above the number above. All other weak, faint, blurred or not easily recognizable images are done at no charge but are still an important part of the designs we do. To bring these artworks to a level of art gallery quality, inquire about our canvas mountings and the elegant wood and contemporary metal frames we have available to preserve this wonderful memory of your child’s youthful involvement in youth sports, now and in the years to come. Prices include premium (pearlescent) paper, all artwork, text, shipping and handling, packaging materials, labor, and postage. If you want your poster to have a foam core (aligator board) backing, add $25. Allow 8 weeks for delivery, sometimes longer around holidays. How do I know what I'll be getting? All the details are discussed with you prior to the day of the shoot. But you can start by requesting to look at our large selection of designs to get an idea of what elements and "look" you like. Once you've agreed on a look and it is nearly complete, you will then be provided with a proof for your approval before the poster is finished. You'll be allotted two modest changes or adjustments. Changes requiring detailed work or adjustments will be billed as extra at our prevailing rates. Remember though, this is a unique artwork and we retain complete graphic design control. So while we’re happy to send you a proof for your consideration, please limit change requests to things such as enlarging or reducing the size of a photo or moving it slightly from left or right or up or down, or changing to another text font. In no case will we make more tan four changes without adding an additional charge based on our hourly rate of $50. Morever, there are absolutely no refunds once we begin work on your poster. What if I want a Unique Poster session done of our child only, not the rest of the team, do you do that? Yes. That's a Private Portrait Session and is part of our whole portrait thing. It can include standard and classical poses as well as simulated action and improvisational poses. Of course, we're more well known for doing Picture Day team/group and individual photos for schools, recs, leagues, gyms, and club teams. So what's the difference between using you and any other portrait studio in town? Well, just looking at our photos should give you your answer. But the main difference is really that we have far more experience photographing athletes and performance artists in a wide variety of scenarios: posed, live action, candids, simulated action, in competition, etc, than almost anyone in the Southwest. Plus, posing itself is an art form and knowing how to pose an athlete properly, specific to his or her sport, isn’t something you learn from doing family portraits or photos of your dog all day long. To truly photograph an athlete pursuasively, you absolutely have to have the background and experience to understand their craft and caputure that essence in your poses and on camera. If not, the photographer, even the pro, becomes nothing more than another person with a camera.

Is there a charge for fixing scars or blemishes? For modest clean-up here and there, such as a speck on the image, or small mark or scar, or large blemish, there is no charge. However, if a lot of work is required, or if you want the beauty smoothing treatment, whitening of teeth, reduction of red veins in the eyes, etc., there is a post-processing charge. Please inquire. For these photos sessions, whether we're at your home or our studio, the clock is ticking. If you want to make small cosmetic changes such as fixing your hair, or a slight brushing, that's not a problem but you'll want to be careful to still have time to get all the poses and wardrobe changes you want within your session. If you need more time, you'll be billed accordingly. The sitting fee includes photographing your player in at least five poses with one full costume change and modest costume re-arrangments thereafter, such as adding a jacket or putting on a hat or adding a prop or other element. If you want to make a full costume change, say from a baseball uniform to a basketball uniform, there is a $10 fee per costume change after the first one. The first costume change is the costume the subject is wearing when the photographer first starts shooting. Can I buy any of the individual shots you take? Many customers like the individual raw shots that make up the poster (see below) that they buy them too! Here are some examples:
